ขอขอบคุณที่เข้ามาชมเว็บไซต์ของมูลนิธิเจ้าพระยาอภัยราชาที่ผมเป็นประธาน มูลนิธินี้ตั้งขึ้นตามชื่อพระราชทานของบรรพบุรุษของครอบครัวฝั่งทางคุณพ่อของผม ผมรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติที่มีโอกาสได้สืบสานความทรงจำเกี่ยวกับผลงานและความสำเร็จของท่านในขณะที่ท่านได้ดำรงตำแหน่งเป็น ที่ปรึกษาทั่วไปในรัชกาลที่ 5
ผมมาเที่ยวประเทศไทยตั้งแต่ประมาณยี่สิบกว่าปีที่แล้ว และตั้งแต่นั้นมา ผมได้ตัดสินใจที่จะใช้ชีวิตในประเทศที่สวยงามนี้ การมาอยู่ที่ประเทศไทยทำให้ชีวิตผมมีความสุขมาก ผมรู้สึกขอบคุณสังคมไทยจริงๆ ที่ต้อนรับผมและเปิดโอกาสให้ผมได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งจริงๆ และผมจะรู้สึกขอบคุณวัฒนธรรมไทยตลอดไป เพราะที่นี่ทำให้ผมได้มีโอกาสพัฒนาตัวเองมากขึ้นหลายขั้น และเป็นตัวเองที่ดีขึ้นในทุกๆ ปี
ด้วยเหตุผลนี้ นอกจากมูลนิธิฯจะจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อช่วยเหลือสังคม และกิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับเจ้าพระยาอภัยราชาแล้ว มูลนิธิฯ ยังมุ่งหมายที่จะเสริมสร้างมิตรสัมพันธ์อันดีกับประเทศไทยและกับคนไทย ทางมูลนิธิฯ ตั้งใจที่จะช่วยเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีงาม อันนำมาซึ่งประโยชน์และความสงบสุขร่วมกัน ระหว่างประเทศไทยและประเทศอื่นๆ หรือสังคมอื่นใดที่มีค่านิยมสอดคล้องกับมูลนิธิเจ้าพระยาอภัยราชา
ขอขอบคุณสำหรับความช่วยเหลือและการสนับสนุนจากคณะกรรมการทุกท่าน ที่ไม่เพียงทำให้ผมได้ทำเพื่อครอบครัวของผมและเพื่อสังคม แต่ยังทำให้ผมได้มีโอกาสตอบแทนประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นประเทศที่ให้อะไรกับผมมามากมายอีกด้วย
I would like to thank you for visiting the Chao Phya Abhai Raja Foundation's website, which I have the honor to preside. The Foundation is named after the Thai royal title of an ancestor of my father’s family. It is thus a privilege for me to have an opportunity to contribute in preserving the memory of his work and achievements as General Advisor to King Rama V.
I have discovered Thailand over two decades ago and have based myself in this wonderful country since then.
Thailand has brought a lot of happiness into my life. I feel truly thankful to the Thai society for having welcomed me and given me a chance to integrate so nicely. I will also be forever grateful to the Thai culture, which has definitely contributed in making me improve on many levels and be a better person, year after year.
For these reasons, and besides activities organized to help the society and those related to Chao Phya Abhai Raja himself, the Foundation also aims at fostering and nurturing friendship with Thailand and with the Thai people. The Foundation will always be enthusiast in helping build good, mutually beneficial, and peaceful relations between Thailand and countries or societies which share common values with the Chao Phya Abhai Raja Foundation.
With the precious help and assistance of my fellow board members, this is a way for me not only to give back my family and to the society, but also to give back to Thailand, a country that has given me so much.
